We are pressured in every way [hedged in], but not crushed; perplexed [unsure of finding a way out], but not driven to despair;
2 Cor. 4:8 (AMP)
Are you feeling overwhelmed, down, spiritually exhausted, and ready to give up? Do you say to yourself “I’ve suffered long enough and I’m tired and ready to give up Lord, It’s just too much for me”? You are not alone. Most Christians have felt this way during difficult seasons in their life, especially, single moms. 1Peter 5:9 AMP says… knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being experienced by your brothers and sisters throughout the world. (You do not suffer alone). Day to day life challenges can sometimes make you feel that way. When you feel like giving up DON’T. Stop, and take a minute to tell God how you really feel. Be transparent with your feelings. He can handle your expressions of frustration, anger, doubt, hate, and weariness. Include EVERYTHING, EVERYONE, and EVERY SITUATION i.e. my classes/homework, children, relationships, my job, my finances, my health, where I live, my neighbor, the noise around me, my car/mode of transportation or lack of etc. If God is part of the “everyone” category please express that too. Just include why. God is a loving Father. He’s not waiting to strike back at you with harshness and punishment for expressing how you really feel, nor will he pre-judge you or accuse you of something you’re not. He alone truly knows your heart. 1Peter 5:7-AMP says, Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. Psalm 63:3-KJV, says… thy loving-kindness is better than life. Understand this, single mom: 1Peter 5:10-AMP says After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace (who imparts His blessing and favor), who called you to His own eternal glory in Christ. Will Himself complete, confirm, strengthen, and establish you (making you what you ought to be). So, be encouraged today. This trial will not will not last forever. God knows how you feel and what you’re going through. Joshua 1:5 AMP reads …I will never leave you nor forsake you. You must trust God, believe His promises are true, remind Him of His word, and obey His word. As you read your Bible ask God to speak to you through His word, pray and leave the timing and results to Him. Galatians 6:9 NIV says, Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. You will get through this! Jesus loves you and cares deeply for you.
